Collaboration

One folder. Everyone in the loop. Qbit in the middle.

Put the trip, the renovation, the client project or the family recipes in a folder and invite the people who belong there. Everyone adds documents, photos and conversations, everyone asks Qbit inside it, and Qbit answers from all of it, knowing who’s who. That’s what makes AI useful for a whole family or a whole team, not just one person at a time.

In four lines

What we commit to.

  • Invite people in. Never hand out a password.
  • Qbit knows who’s who, and never mixes you up.
  • Manager, Collaborator, Viewer. Roles that make sense.
  • As many folders as you like, four levels deep.
How it works

Four steps from “us” to “done”.

  1. Invite by email.Open the folder, tap Invite others, type an address and pick a role. No group login, no new app for them to learn.
  2. They accept from the link. The folder, and everything nested inside it, appears in their folders list, and its conversations show up in their Recents.
  3. Everyone adds.Documents, photos and conversations from any member land in the same place. Subfolders come along for the ride.
  4. Ask the folder.Ask Qbit from inside the folder and the answer comes from what’s in it, from everyone, and nothing else.
More than a cloud drive

What a Qbit folder knows that a cloud drive never will.

  • Each person, remembered.Inside a folder you collaborate in, Qbit draws on what each member has told Qbit, each fact attached to its person, so answers fit the group and nobody gets mixed up.
  • Who said what.Every conversation shows who asked, so the thread still makes sense a month later. Rename a conversation and everyone sees the new title.
  • Pick up anywhere.Any member can open any conversation in the folder and keep it going, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.
  • Nothing slips by.When someone adds a document, a photo or a conversation, the folder can let everyone know, by email, text or in the app. Each person picks.
Roles

Three roles, and the owner.

You decide who gets which, per person, and you can change it any time.

RoleWhat they can do
OwnerEverything below, plus deleting the folder itself.
ManagerInvite people, change roles, remove members, and everything a Collaborator can.
CollaboratorAdd documents, photos and conversations, ask Qbit, open and continue everything in the folder.
ViewerOpen and read everything in the folder.
One conversation instead

Send one answer as a link.

Sometimes the whole folder is too much and one brilliant answer is exactly enough.

  • One tap, one link. The conversation becomes a clean web page. Send it by email, text, WhatsApp or anything else. They open it in a browser, no account needed.
  • Or invitation only.Set a link so only people you’ve invited can open it, signed in. Everyone else sees a polite door.
  • Switch it off any time.Every link you’ve sent sits in one list with its open count. Revoke one and it stops working for everyone, immediately.

At home

  • The trip, in one place.

Flights, the rental agreement, the packing list and the “what time’s the ferry” question, where everyone can see them.

  • The house, the move, the project.

Quotes, floor plans and photos of the tile you liked, with Qbit ready to compare them when you’re deciding.

  • Grandma’s recipes, forever.

Scan the cards into a folder and anyone in the family can ask Qbit for the pie, exactly the way Grandma made it.

  • Health, together.

Appointment letters, test results and the questions for the next visit, in one folder with the people helping you through it.

At work

  • A client, a launch, a quarter.

Briefs, decks and notes live in one folder, and Qbit answers from the latest version, not the one in somebody’s inbox.

  • Onboard someone in an afternoon.

A new teammate joins the folder and asks Qbit what’s been decided, instead of asking the whole room.

  • School and study groups.

Readings, notes and past conversations in one place, with Qbit tutoring from the actual material.

  • Pictures and video, paid by the asker.

Media made inside a folder you collaborate in comes out of the Tool Credits of whoever asked for it. Nobody is billed for somebody else’s poster.

Questions people ask

Straight answers about collaboration.

Do the people I invite need a Qbit account?

For a folder, yes, and the free plan is enough. For a single answer sent as a link, no: the link opens in any browser without signing in, unless you set it to invitation only.

Can people in my folder see my other folders?

No. They see that folder and what’s inside it, including its subfolders. Your other folders, documents, photos and conversations stay yours.

Can I take someone out?

Yes. Owners and Managers can change a role or remove a member at any time, and the folder leaves that person’s account. Anyone can leave a folder they were invited to.

Who pays for pictures and videos made in a folder we collaborate in?

Whoever asked for them, from their own Tool Credits. Talking to Qbit and searching the web are covered by everyone’s plan.

Is there a limit on folders or members?

Make as many folders as you like, nested up to four levels deep, and invite the people who belong in each one.

Start a folder. Invite one person. See what changes.
