Plans, credits and billing

Your Plan sits right at the top of Settings and answers the two things everyone wants to know: which plan you’re on, and what to do next.

1. Open Settings. "Your Plan" is the first section on the page.
2. Look at the pill next to "Current plan". That’s the plan you’re on right now.
3. On a trial? A "Trial" pill sits beside it, with a counter showing how many days you’ve got left.
4. Tap the button on the card to subscribe, manage your plan, or see the details.

• There’s one main button for each situation, so the right one is always the one you see.
• This card is home base for your free trial. It’s the one place in the app where the trial lives, so check here for your days left.

Good to know: Your Plan shows up on adult accounts. On a few older accounts it appears once the account moves over to the newer billing system.

One plan, one adult, all your kids, and no ads. It’s also how Qbit confirms you’re the parent, so it’s the key that opens up child accounts.

1. Open Settings and find "Your Plan" at the top.
2. Tap "Student & Family, $15 a month".
3. Qbit hands you over to the billing partner’s secure payment page.
4. Enter your card details on that page and confirm.
5. You land back in Qbit, already on the new plan.

• Your card details stay with the billing partner. The whole payment happens on their own secure page.
• Tapped "+ Add child" first? Qbit shows a short explainer window with the same $15 button in it, so you can sort it out right there.

Good to know: Founding accounts already have Student and Family for life, so there’s nothing to buy.

Flying solo? The individual plan clears the ads away for $10 a month.

3. Complete the payment on the billing partner’s secure page.
4. You land back in Qbit on the Individual plan.

• You can move up to Student and Family later without starting over, so you’re never locked in.

Good to know: This button shows up while you’re on the free plan. The individual plan covers just you, so if you’d like your kids on Qbit too, Student and Family is the one you want.

Already on the individual plan and ready to bring the kids along? You can move up in a couple of taps, with no second trip through checkout.

3. Confirm. Qbit lets you know on screen that your plan changes at your next renewal.

• The switch happens on your renewal date, and Qbit confirms that on screen the moment you tap, so you always know where you stand.

Good to know: On a signup trial, that same button opens a regular checkout instead, since there’s no paid subscription to switch over yet.

New card, or time for a break? The billing portal is where you cancel, change the card on file and download invoices, and Qbit takes you straight there.

1. Open Settings and find "Your Plan" at the top.
2. Tap "Manage subscription". It’s a button on the family plan and a quieter link on the individual plan.
3. You’re taken to the billing portal.
4. Cancel, update your card, or download your invoices from there.

• Your invoices live in the portal too, which is handy when you need a receipt for your records.

Good to know: The billing portal is where cancelling happens, so that’s the place to head. This button appears when there’s a paid subscription behind your plan, so trial and lifetime founding accounts won’t see it.

One tap opens a small panel with the whole picture: your plan, its status and when it renews. It’s also where the way back to the free plan lives.

3. Read the Plan, the Status and the renewal date.
4. On a billed Student and Family account you can tap "Downgrade to the free ad-based plan", which takes you out to the billing portal to finish.
5. Tap "Hide details" to fold the panel back up.

• The downgrade button hands you to the billing portal to finish, so you’ve got a moment to change your mind.

Good to know: Details show up on paid plans. Founding accounts see a note that Student and Family is theirs for life with no charges ever, so there’s no downgrade button to worry about.

Here’s the whole story in one breath. Talking to Qbit and searching the web are covered by your plan, and credits are for making media, like pictures and video.

1. Open Settings and tap the "Tool Credits" header to open the section.
2. Read your balance at the top of the card.
3. Read the usage box underneath. Chatting and searching are covered by your plan, creating a photo or an image costs 5 credits, and creating a video costs 10.

• Two more costs worth knowing: audio and music are 8 credits, and editing a photo of a real person is 5.
• Uploading documents is free at the moment.
• Your balance updates as soon as an answer lands, and again right after you buy a pack.

Good to know: The section starts closed each time you open Settings, so give the header a tap. A child’s credits sit with you on My Kids, and if they run out, Qbit lets them know to ask a parent.

Running low? Pick from three one-off credit packs, no subscription attached, and the two bigger ones come with bonus credits on top.

2. Tap the pack you want. The tile itself is the go, so there’s no separate confirm button.
3. You’re taken to the billing partner’s secure payment page.
4. Fill in your card details there and submit.
5. You land back in Qbit. The card shows "Confirming your payment" for a moment, then "Credits added!" with your new balance.
6. Tap "Done".

• The packs are $10 for 500 credits, $25 for 1,500 credits (1,250 plus a 250 bonus) and $100 for 6,250 credits (5,000 plus a 1,250 bonus).
• If you see "That payment didn’t go through", nothing was charged, so you’re free to try again.
• If confirmation takes a while you’ll see a "Still processing" note. If your credits haven’t landed within an hour, get in touch through Helpful Humans.

Good to know: Tapped a tile by accident? No harm done. Charges only happen once you submit your details on the billing partner’s page. You’ll need to be signed in to buy.

"Auto-replenish" is the switch for anyone who never wants to run out of credits. Here’s the straight story on what it does right now.

1. Open Settings and tap the "Tool Credits" header to open the section.
2. Flip the "Auto-replenish" switch. Your choice saves to your account straight away.

• If a save ever fails, the switch flips back so it always shows your real setting.
• Buying a pack by hand takes about twenty seconds, so you’re never far from a top up.

Good to know: Today the switch records your choice. Qbit can’t charge a saved card on her own yet, so automatic top ups aren’t running for now, and a pack bought by hand is the way to refill. The switch is there so you’re always in control of automatic charging, with an easy way to turn it off.

No refreshing, no guesswork. When an answer uses credits, your balance changes the second that answer arrives.

1. Ask Qbit for a picture, a video or an audio clip.
2. Watch the credit count update as soon as the answer lands.

• Your balance lives in Settings, under "Tool Credits Balance", rather than in the top bar of the app.
• Everyday text conversations are never metered, so only pictures, video, audio and photo edits move the number.

Good to know: A child’s pictures and videos draw from your family pool. If the pool runs dry, Qbit lets your child know to ask you for a top up.
