- “My Folders” shows your whole tree in one easy to view listSometimes you want to see the whole list in one view. The “Folders” list in the menu drop-down shows everything you have in your Qbit, including nested folders.
- Every folder has its own page, here’s what’s on itOpen any folder and you get a whole page just for it: its picture and name, a line about what it’s for, the nested folders (aka subfolders) inside it, and three tabs holding its conversations, photos and documents. There’s an ask box at the bottom too.
- Recents, Photos and Documents, the three tabs on every folderThree tabs, one pane at a time, with a count on each label so you can see at a glance what’s filed here. Recents holds conversations, Photos holds pictures, Documents holds files.
- Pick up right where you left off inside a folderThe Recents tab displays your last six conversations in this folder, newest first, each titled by what you asked. Click “see more” to see beyond the six listed here. Now tap any conversation and the whole thread reopens, ready to keep going.
- Upload a document into a folder and ask Qbit about itDrop a document into a folder and Qbit can answer questions or help work on it. Business letters, schoolwork, invitations, forms, recipes, a lease. Upload it, then ask away.
- See all opens the rest right there, and you stay putA folder page shows a comfortable amount and tucks the rest away, so even a busy folder fits on one screen. “See all” unfolds the rest right where you are, on the same page.
- Asking from inside a folder keeps conversations relevantThe ask box at the bottom of a folder page is where folders really shine. Qbit answers using the documents filed there, and saves the conversation in that folder.

- Folders inside folders aka nested folders or subfolders, here’s how they workA folder can hold folders. It’s easy to imagine how many subfolders you might have in Health, Homework, Travel, Cooking, etc. These display in the “Folders” section above the tabs, each with a count of documents inside it. And, even better, you can invite friends, family or colleagues to collaborate in either a primary folder, or just a single nested folder.
- Adding a subfolder takes one tapIn Travel and want a folder for Italy? One tap. The New folder box opens to create a nested folder within the primary Travel folder.
- Going in and out of subfolders, and always knowing where you areStepping into a nested folder keeps you in that primary folder organization, just narrowed down to that subfolder. There’s always a clickable text description telling you exactly where you are.
- File a conversation into a folderHad a great conversation you want to keep somewhere specific so it’s more organized and easier to find in the future? File it in a folder (or subfolder). It will then show up in that folder, right alongside the other conversations, documents and photos in that folder.
- The three dots on a folder page, and what’s behind themEverything you can do to a folder lives behind one button. Tap the three dots beside the folder name and you get three choices, with the big one kept apart at the bottom.

- Folder icons, yes you can use one of your own photosA folder with your company logo, a photo of your dog, or your kitchen mid renovation is so much easier to spot than a name or random emoji. You crop it to a square yourself, and Qbit shrinks it down before storing it.
- A one line description helps Qbit understand the folderThe description is a small box that does two jobs. It reminds you what belongs in the folder, and it tells Qbit what the folder is about when you ask about something.
- Removing a folder from displaying on Home still keeps everything inside itRemoving a folder from Home just clears a little space on your Home page. Everything inside stays exactly where it is, nothing is deleted. You can see it in your My Folders list and you can even put it back on Home whenever you like.
- Deleting a folder for real, and why we require you to type “DELETE”This one is no joke and so requires a bit of extra effort. Deleting a folder really deletes it from the system, including all documents, photos, nested folders, etc. inside it. So Qbit asks you to spend a moment and a little bit of effort to type the word DELETE just to be sure. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
