Upload a PDF, Word document, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation or anything else, here’s how
That 40 page handbook, the thank you letter, the spreadsheet you’ve been avoiding. Hand it to Qbit and ask anything, from a quick summary to help doing it.
Steps
- Tap the “+” button next to the message box and choose Document.
- Pick one file or several. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, plain text, CSV and pictures all work.
- In the “Add to chat” panel, choose how Qbit should treat them. “Just for this conversation” tidies itself away after 14 days of not being used. “Save to My Folders” means Qbit remembers it in every future conversation.
- If you chose Save to My Folders, you can pick a folder from the dropdown.
- Tap “Add to chat”. Each file shows up as a chip above the box reading Uploading, then Indexing, then Ready.
- Once you see “Ready”, ask anything about it.
Tips
- Wait for Ready before you ask. “Indexing” is Qbit reading it and it’s usually quick.
- Try “what does this mean for me”, “help me complete this”, or “summarize this in five bullet points”.
Good to know
Good to know: You can attach up to 8 documents to one conversation, and each file can be up to 25 MB.
