Qbit Teens: accounts for ages 13 to 17

Fixing your teen’s name or date of birth is quick, here’s how

Typed a nickname, or got the birth year wrong? Both take seconds to fix, and Qbit works out the age band again so everything fits.

Screenshots are on their way for this one.

Steps

  1. Open “Qbit Teens” and tap your teen’s name.
  2. In the “Profile” section, tap the pencil next to “Name” or next to “Date of birth”.
  3. For the name, type the new one and tap “Save”.
  4. For the date of birth, pick the Month, Day and Year, read the warning, then tap “Save”.
  5. The “Age band” updates by itself. It follows the date of birth, so there’s nothing to set there.

Tips

  • The age band shapes how Qbit talks to your teen and which folders they start with, so a wrong birth year is worth fixing straight away.
  • There are two teen bands, 13 to 15 and 16 to 17, and a birthday moves between them on its own.

Good to know

Good to know: The new date of birth has to keep your teen between 13 and 17. Qbit checks it on the screen and again on Qbit’s side.
