The Teen Account Notice, what you’re agreeing to
Before your teen’s account switches on, Qbit shows you plainly what’s collected from them, what you’ll be able to see, and what you can ask Qbit to delete. You read it and agree on your teen’s behalf, and they’re ready to go.
Steps
- Fill in the add-teen form and tap the button that creates the account.
- Read what Qbit collects: their first name, date of birth and any notes you added, the sign-in email you set, and their conversations and uploads while they use Qbit.
- Read what you can see as the parent: safety alerts, and the conversation each one came from, which you can open and read; their sign-ins and devices; what Qbit knows about your teen, which is the living profile plus the facts they added themselves; and the option to use Qbit as your teen.
- Tap the agree button at the bottom. Your teen’s account switches on right away.
Tips
- Take all the time you like. This screen has no timer.
- Many families find it helps to talk it through together before the first sign-in.
- Your Qbit+ subscription is what stands as the parent check, so there’s no ID to upload and no separate charge.
- Questions about any of it go to parents@qbit.app.
Good to know
Good to know: If you tap “Cancel” or the X instead, the account isn’t created. You can add your teen again whenever you’re ready. Qbit never sells or shares anyone’s data, yours or your teen’s.
