A quick sign-in code for your teen’s phone or tablet, here’s how
Setting up a new device, or a shared tablet that stays at home? A six-digit code or a QR code from your phone signs your teen in and pairs that device to your account, no password typing needed.
Steps
- Open “Qbit Teens” and tap your teen’s name.
- Tap “Get a sign-in code” at the top of their page.
- Show your teen the big code, split into two groups like “123 456” so it’s easy to read out. Or let them point their camera at the QR code.
- Keep an eye on the countdown. The code is only active for a minute.
- When your teen enters it, the box turns green and says “They’re in!”
Tips
- You can get a code in three places: the button at the top, “Generate sign-in code” in the Sign-in section, and “+ Add another device” under Devices.
- The code stays on your screen even if you tap the background by accident, so it won’t vanish before your teen has signed in.
- For everyday sign-ins, an email and password is the easier path. See the article just above this one.
Good to know
Good to know: Devices that are already signed in stay signed in until you revoke them or your teen signs out.
