Deleting a folder for real, and why we require you to type “DELETE”
This one is no joke and so requires a bit of extra effort. Deleting a folder really deletes it from the system, including all documents, photos, nested folders, etc. inside it. So Qbit asks you to spend a moment and a little bit of effort to type the word DELETE just to be sure. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Steps
- Open the folder’s page and tap the three dots beside its name.
- Tap “Delete folder”.
- Type DELETE (all caps) into the box. The button lights up once it matches.
- Click “Delete folder” and wait for the confirmation.
Tips
- There’s a red “Delete folder” button inside the Edit folder box too, if you’re already in there.
- Delete one of Qbit’s preset folders and the content in it is deleted. However, you can bring the folder back, fresh and empty, from “Add folder” later as the preset names remain.
- In another language you type that language’s word for delete, and typing DELETE always works too.
