Privacy, security and your data

Deleting your account comes with 30 days to change your mind, here’s how

You can delete your account whenever you want. Your account switches off straight away and you’ve got 30 days to change your mind before anything’s erased.

How to Delete Your Child's Qbit Account, 0:47

Steps

  1. Go to “Metrics & Advanced Settings” and scroll all the way to the bottom.
  2. Want a copy of your data first? If so, tap “Download my data first” in the confirmation window (and wait until you have this before continuing).
  3. Read the list of what gets deleted: your profile, your conversations and Recents, any connected app permissions and any credits you’ve got left.
  4. Type DELETE in the confirmation box. The red button stays grayed out until you do.
  5. Tap “Delete account”.
  6. A few seconds later, you’re signed out automatically.

Tips

  • Changed your mind? Sign back in any time in those 30 days. The deletion’s canceled and Qbit greets you with a “Welcome back” message.
  • A blue and purple “Back to Settings” button sits right above the red one, on purpose. It’s your way out if you opened this page by accident.
