Making Qbit yours

App notifications keep you in the loop, here’s how to turn them on

Push notifications in the app let Qbit tap you on the shoulder when something happens, like a sign-in from a new device. You turn them on device by device, and a banner at the top of the page always tells you exactly where you stand.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and scroll to the “Notifications” card.
  2. Read the status banner at the top. It tells you what’s happening on this particular device.
  3. Flip “Enable push notifications on this device”, then allow notifications in the prompt your browser shows.
  4. With that master switch on, the “Security alerts” switch below it comes to life. Leave it on to hear about sign-ins from a new device or from a new country, or repeated failed password attempts.

Tips

  • On an iPhone or iPad, add Qbit to your home screen first. The banner walks you through it.

Good to know

Good to know: If you said no to notifications at some point, the banner will say blocked and the switches go gray. Browsers only ask once, so to turn it back on, go to your browser’s settings for qbit.app.
