Pause Qbit, hurry things up, or interrupt, here’s how
A spoken conversation goes better with a few handy controls. Here’s how to stop Qbit mid sentence, pause the listening while you take a breath, or switch back to typing without losing the thread.
Steps
- Tap the microphone button in the bottom bar to pause listening. It turns into a red mic with a line through it. Tap it again to carry on.
- Tap the strip just above the bottom bar, over the glow, to finish your turn early or to cut Qbit off mid sentence.
- Tap the gear in the top right, then pick 0.9x, 1x or 1.2x for how fast Qbit talks. Qbit remembers your choice.
- Tap “Type a reply...” to close the voice screen and land in the very same conversation, typed.
- Tap the Qbit logo at the top left to close it and go Home.
- Tap the X in the bottom bar to end the conversation. On a computer, Escape does the same thing.
Tips
- 1.2x is a small change that makes long answers feel much brisker.
- “Type a reply...” keeps the same thread. It was a normal conversation all along, just spoken.
Good to know
Good to know: The spot for cutting in is a wide invisible strip just above the bar rather than a labeled button, so nobody interrupts Qbit with a stray thumb.
