Making Qbit yours

Turning on the microphone for Conversation Mode

Once Qbit can hear you, Conversation Mode is ready to go. The permission comes from your phone or computer.

Steps

  1. Open Settings and look for the “Microphone” section.
  2. Read the status line. It’ll say one of three things: “Not turned on yet”, “Microphone is on”, or “Microphone is blocked”.
  3. Tap “Turn on microphone”, then tap allow in the prompt your device shows you.
  4. If the status says blocked, the help text on screen walks you through it: open your phone’s Settings page, find Qbit in the app list, and allow Microphone there.

Tips

  • You’ll find the row once you’re signed in on a device that can use a microphone.
  • Your device is always the one that grants microphone access, which is why this is a status row and a prompt rather than a simple on and off switch.

Good to know

Good to know: Your voice stays private. Your words become text, and the audio is thrown away, never stored.
