Making pictures, video and sound

Want to compose a little tune or a sound effect? Here’s how

Ask for music or a sound effect and Qbit composes you a short clip, then drops a player straight into a conversation. Perfect for a homemade game, a theme for a work presentation or a silly sound for a school project.

Steps

  1. Ask for what you want, for example “Make an upbeat 8-bit tune for a platformer game”.
  2. Give Qbit roughly 10 to 40 seconds.
  3. Press play on the audio player in the conversation thread.

Tips

  • Sound skips the Style and Aspect buttons so your words do the steering. Instrument, mood, tempo, how long, etc.
  • Clips run from 1 to 30 seconds, and land on 8 seconds if you don’t specify otherwise.
  • This is Qbit composing something brand new, which is a different thing from read aloud.

Good to know

Good to know: Each clip uses 8 Tool Credits, and the music is instrumental only, so there are no vocals or lyrics.
