Your documents are ready when you are, here’s how to find, share and print them
Tap a document row to read the file itself. The small icons along the bottom of the row let you file it, send the file to someone, print it, or delete it. And anyone you’ve added as collaborators to a folder can do the same.
Screenshots are on their way for this one.
Steps
- Folder icon: pick a folder to move the document into.
- Share icon: hands the actual file to your device’s share panel, so Messages, Mail or AirDrop. Your document stays private, with no public link created.
- Printer icon: prints it. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF and OpenDocument files are turned into a PDF on our side first, so the print option really appears. The button shows a busy state and lets you know the very first conversion can take a moment.
- Download icon: gives you back the original file.
- Trash icon: deletes the file, its index and every piece of it in one go.
Tips
- If a document didn’t read properly, you’ll see a Retry button instead of the icons. Retry runs the reading step again on the file already stored, so there’s no need to delete and upload it again.
- On an iPhone, printing goes through the share panel, because iOS can’t print an embedded page directly.
Good to know
Good to know: The icons show up once a document is ready, right after Uploading and Reading and indexing finish.
