Safety alerts keep you in the loop

Alerts by email, text or app push, here’s how to set them

Pick the ways you’d like Qbit to reach you, so an alert finds you wherever you happen to be.

How to Set Up Child Alerts & Notifications in Qbit, 1:35

Steps

  1. Open “Qbit Teens”, tap your teen, expand “Alerts”, then tap “Configure alerts”.
  2. Set “Email me” to on or off. Tap the small pencil beside the address to change where alerts go.
  3. Set “Push notifications” on or off.
  4. For text messages, tap “Verify phone to enable SMS” and complete the two-step verification. The SMS switch then unlocks and turns itself on.

Tips

  • Once it’s verified, your number shows masked on the screen, for example +1 (555) •••-4567.
  • Standard message and data rates apply to texts, and replying STOP cancels them.

Good to know

Good to know: Email and push come switched on from the start. Texts switch on once you’ve verified your mobile number; until then that switch is grayed out.
