Qbit Teens: accounts for ages 13 to 17

Your teen’s eighteenth birthday means a lot, here’s what happens

On their 18th birthday the teen controls come off and your teen, now an adult, takes over their Qbit. Their conversations, their folders and everything they made stay with them.

Steps

  1. Qbit’s daily check notices the birthday and moves the account on from being a teen account.
  2. You and your teen both get an email about it.
  3. Your new adult opens the link in their email.
  4. They confirm the email address they want to use and choose a password of their own.
  5. From then on they sign in by themselves, with everything they made still there.

Tips

  • Your “Family milestones” notification is what gives you the heads-up, so leave that one on if you’d like it.
  • Everything stays where it is. They just stop signing in through Qbit Teens, and the parent controls, alerts and “Use Qbit as” end that day.

Good to know

Good to know: Want the account turned into a fully standalone adult account on its own plan? Support handles those one at a time, so just get in touch.
